This is the 40th Anniversary gig of Arthur Kay and the Originals. Formed in Herne Bay in 1979 when Arthur Moved there from London. Arthur Started his career in Mod Band The Next Collection from Streatham in 1966 then later working as a session Bass Player starting his first session with Ska Trombone legend Rico Rodriguez at Maximum sound studios in Londons old Kent Road. The Band gained international Recognition performing at Glastonbury Festival and Became Judge Dreads Backing Group recording his last ever studio recordings.
Arthur Kay and the Originals First single Ska wars was released in 1979 Followed By Play my Record which was released on Mojo Magazine along with Bob Marley and Desmond Dekker. This gig is not to be missed and we look forward meeting up with old Friends and making some new ones.
